1. Scanning & Vectorizing

You can now scan images directly into SignCAD from any TWAIN compatible scanner or digital device.  Scanned or imported bitmap images can be easily converted to vector graphics and cleaned up using cleaver, welding and point editing tools. You can also create and edit Freeform curves in graphics making it simple to change shapes.

2. MicroStation V8 Compatibility

The MicroStation MDL application which allows you to open or place signs and information from SignCAD now supports the latest release of MicroStation V8.  We also continue to support earlier versions of MicroStation.

3. ClearviewHwy Font Support

SignCAD now supports the ClearviewHwy fonts used by some State DOTs.  Arizona, California, Iowa, Louisiana, Michigan, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Texas currently use the ClearviewHwy fonts.

4. Updated Standards

SignCAD includes: 1) new standards for Delaware, Missouri, Wisconsin and the Millennium U.S.; 2) new state route markers for Delaware, Idaho, New Hampshire and New York; 3) updated standards for Alabama, Arizona, Indiana, Kansas, Minnesota County, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Texas; and 4) sign libraries for Arizona, California, Florida, Indiana, Kansas, Millennium U.S., Minnesota, Missouri, Tennessee, Texas, and the U.S.

      5.  Other Enhancements

Special characters for exclamation point, at, hash or pound, dollar, asterisk, equal, question mark and cent symbol are not available in all fonts.  To enter fractions now simply enter <space>1/2<space> or other common fractions between spaces and you automatically get the fraction character.  Fractions supported include 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, 1/3, 2/3 and 1/5.
